Dr. Gartshore’s teenage love of training and showing dogs was the foundation for her interest in caring for pets. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1982, Dr. Gartshore practiced in Toronto for 2 years. When Dr. Gartshore and her husband moved to the K/W area, she practiced as a locum veterinarian part-time for local animal hospitals while starting a family, and in 1992 she first worked with us at Parkdale Animal Hospital. Dr. Gartshore is devoted to the science of veterinary medicine and attends many continuing education seminars to pass on the most current information to our clients. Dr. Gartshore is a popular speaker on animal care for local clubs, schools and church groups. Dr. Gartshore’s home includes her dog Woody, a playful Lab-Terrier mix and Hobbes the trouble-making (but very lovable) cat. Dr. Gartshore enjoys traveling, movies, and time spent with her family.
