Dr. Gartshore’s teenage love of training and showing dogs was the foundation for her interest in caring for pets. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1982, she practiced in Toronto for 2 years. When Dr. Gartshore and her husband moved to the K/W area, she practiced as a locum veterinarian part-time for local animal hospitals while starting a family, and in 1992 she became part of the Parkdale Animal Hospital family. Dr. Gartshore is devoted to the science of veterinary medicine, with a special interest in surgery. She attends many continuing education seminars to pass on the most current information to our clients. Dr. Gartshore recently lost her beloved dog Woody, a playful Lab-Terrier mix, making her mischievous, loveable cat Hobbes the king at home. Dr. Gartshore enjoys traveling, movies, and time spent with her family.
