Dr. Sara Untch grew up in a small Ontario town and always had a love of animals. She developed a keen interest in biology and science early on. She initially studied at the University of Guelph for her Bachelors of Science followed by her studies at the Ontario Veterinary College. Her favourite areas of interest included small animal medicine, complementary medicine (such as nutrition and acupuncture), whole health and wellness and dentistry.
Dr. Sara Untch lives with her family including her two fur babies Walter and Nessa. She has also worked with wildlife rescue organizations and is a member of the Canadian Animal Assistance Team or CAAT (a remote spay/neuter/vaccination and rabies prevention team) http://www.caat-canada.
org/. When she’s not busy being a veterinarian, she is an avid lover of the outdoors; spending her free time hiking, biking, running, skiing and gardening. She also enjoys music, festivals, dance (particularly Latin and Ballroom), travel, yoga, arts and culture.
